This CD 102, pony style, insulator is one of the few insulators made in ruby red glass. The insulator is embossed "VTS INDUSTRIAL Co" (front) and "NUMBER 8" (reverse). VTS, a distributor of telephone supplies, had insulators made in ruby red and peacock blue glass for its customers. They are an early example of an insulator commemorative. In this example, the shadows behind the name are swirls of red milk. The 2003 Price Guide values it at $250.
