Kris and Mary Ann Young are missionaries who have been working with the
people of Cambodia for more than a decade now.
On one of their return trips back
to the states, Kris and Mary Ann visited our home in Merlin, Oregon. It's rather
hard not to notice insulators when you stop by our place. We discussed the hobby
for a few minutes during their visit. When he got back to Cambodia, Kris began
to notice the French insulators in use in that country.
Kris recently sent this
picture of a pole adorned with porcelain and glass gingerbread men and other
French styles. And, although he didn't get a picture of it before it disappeared
from the pole, Kris had spotted a purple gingerbread man insulator at another
location. (Perhaps there's an insulator collector already working in the
region?)

Kris has a dilemma, and maybe one of you would like to help him out. He
has an opportunity to purchase a number of insulators for a reasonable price.
The only problem is that they are cemented to the metal pins. He's not sure than
any collector in the states would be interested in paying shipping for both
insulators and pins. And it's not easy to remove the cemented insulators from
their pins. But maybe some readers would want insulators cemented to pins in
their original state?
Kris sees this as an opportunity to help some of the
Cambodian people. Many earn less than a dollar a day, and have trouble feeding
their families. As part of his outreach, he seeks to find income producing
opportunities for the Cambodians.
