Prairie Signals Insulator Show
October 15, 2005

Beautiful weather, great people and insulators of course made this year's show a great success. We started by unloading tables and soon everyone was set up and ready. Collectors with tables included: Larry Vredenburgh, Sandy Ellison, Glen Hamilton, Jack Roach, Wade Howard, John Wise and John L. Wise, Tom & Lynda Katonak, and Brian Riecker. States represented at the show were Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico, and Texas. In attendance were George Freeman, Ron Trekell, Mike and Linda Conrey, Bob Blanchard, Clarence and Jean Koch, Dennis and Joyce Quick, Eualy Rose, Luvon Lumbard, Frank Shiels, Jim and Kathy Youngblood, Judy Walden, Adrienne Gombas, Bob Whitsett, Harold Deichman, Ed Wilson, Gene Rhoden, Brian Wise, Mary and Hazel Stevens, Bob Gerling, and M. Schukert. Thank you to everyone who came to the show. If I inadvertently missed anyone, I apologize. Insulators at the show and notable sales included: a Chambers candlestick, signals in all colors of the rainbow, a set of purple Cochran bells, colorful foreign insulators from the Ukraine, and a strange looking glass wall tube. Walk-ins were mostly common glass but a few purple pieces were brought in as well for appraisal. We had a great lunch and some auctions to raise money to offset costs. All too soon it was time to go home. The Prairie Signals Insulator Club is looking forward to seeing you in Grove, OK on June 10, 2006.
