Chesapeake Bay Insulator Club Show - New Find

Reprinted from "Crown Jewels of the Wire", August 1989, page 12

The most exciting "finds" dug to date from the Brookfield dump by Alonzo Carver had their first public showing. The new owner Bob McElvaney showed two pieces which are embossed CLIMAX in large 3/8" letters. Two separate pieces were found and, although badly damaged, there was enough of each piece to reconstruct the insulator. John and Carol McDougald sent the drawing and photo to N.R. Woodward for the assignment of a new CD number. It is CD 184. The pictures taken would not reproduce well, but the drawing will have to do until a close-up of the new insulator is taken at the National Show.

CD 184 -- A new find in the typical Brookfield aqua-blue glass.
