Danger Insul-Bug

Reprinted from "INSULATORS - Crown Jewels of the Wire", September 1972, page 3

People bitten by this bug suffer severe attack of insulatoritis, characterized by a high fever and an insatiable desire to acquire old insulators.

Victims of this disease have been known to suffer permanent brain damage and are labeled by society as "Insulator Nuts".

These bugs are found on old telephone poles, in antique shops, in the homes of insulator collectors and are especially dangerous at bottle and insulator shows.

No cure has been discovered, so the family and friends of these people inflicted with this disease are urged to have as much patience and understanding as possible and to take all precautions from being bitten by this bug.

This information has been presented as a public service by the S.P.C.I. (Society for the Prevention and Cure of Insulatoritis.)

Mrs. Jim York
Emmett, Idaho
