NATIONAL - CD 101

James Doty, Simi Valley, California

A colorful assortment of the CD 101 Brookfield "mushroom-top" pony style used in rural telephone construction is one of the specialty CDs that James has collected. James is one of the regulars who always shares a display at each national show, even though he may be traveling by plane or train. A tribute to a collector who has to travel light, but always participates enthusiastically.

James says: I have collected  12 years, mainly CD 102 and secondly CD 101. Unfortunately, none of the pieces in this display have a particularly interesting story.

My favorite piece is the dark green with sharp drip points. The piece I am looking for to complete my collections is a CD 102 W. Brookfield embossed on the dome in sun-colored amethyst. That would just about complete my specialty pony collection.
