Advertising Through the Ages
by Robert Stahr
Reprinted from "Crown Jewels of the Wire", October 1995, page 23
The first ad is for Hemingray's "No O, Provo Type"
style (CD 249) and was sent in by Nick Rodnicki, Jr. of Houston, Texas. It
appeared in the July 11, 1908 issue of Electrical Review.
The second ad was found in the Western Electrician, December 3 1898 and is
courtesy of Nathan Holmes, Wolcott, Iowa. It shows a CD 283 No 1
"Provo" Type. Note that there is a typo in the ad...the word insulator
is missing an "n."
