YOUR OPINIONS, PLEASE...
Reprinted from "Crown Jewels of the Wire", November 2005, page 5
I would like to know if you would like to use these pictures for you readers
to see. I can't find anything like this on the internet. The close up picture of
the embossing shows what looks like the company that made it might have used a
previously chipped insulator to make the mold. Is this possible?
The insulator is 2-1/4" high. The bottom is 2-3/4" wide and the opening on the
bottom is 1-3/4" wide. I bought this insulator twenty years ago in a
small craft shop. It was sold to me as a paper weight. I tend not to think that
it was melted down on itself because the embossing still looks fine. The
insulator seems to be round enough but the bottom just isn't straight. Any
opinions from your readers would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Dave Watson
