Foreign Insulators

   by Marilyn Albers

A MEMORABLE TRIP TO GUERNSEY

Something really special happened to my husband and me in late October of last year. We accepted an invitation of long standing to visit Keith Neal, who lives on the island of Guernsey. Guernsey, as one of the Channel Islands, is a ...                    [more]

The Making of an Insulator Collector - OR - How I Got Hooked on Glass and Porcelain

   by George Kammerer

Now that I've been back in the insulator collecting hobby for a few years and have read the exploits of other fellow enthusiasts, I don't feel quite so like a "looney" anymore. Let me clarify that statement. At the tender age of four or five or so, I sort of "fell in love" with insulators, or ...                    [more]

Porcelain Insulator News

   by Elton Gish, NIA #41

Letters to the Editor

Dear Dora,

Can anyone there tell me what CD this falls under? At a glance you would think it's a 162; but the top seems far too narrow and short.

It says BROOKFIELD on front and nothing on the back. The inner skirt has the four tiny drips like other Brookfields. Also, it's sort of a steel colored aqua. ...                    [more]
