THREADLESS PRIZES

Wow! Take a look on the page below at the prizes we are offering in our latest Kids Contest.

These CD 734, threadless, McMicking insulators will be given away free to four winners in our next contest. These historic artifacts were dug in British Columbia and would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection. Their condition is pretty good, with only minor chips, flakes, fractures or stress marks.

What's the contest?

Basically, it's an essay contest. However, at least one photograph, drawing or other form of artwork is also required. The only requirement for the subject material is that it must have something to do with insulators, insulator hunting, insulator research or insulator collecting. It can be fiction, non-fiction or science fiction.

Suggestions:

You could do research on an insulator manufacturer; for instance, the Ohio Valley Glass Works. Or, report on the insulators used on a famous line, such as the transcontinental telegraph line. Or, document a hunting trip you plan for and go on. Or, tell why you collect insulators and photograph your favorite insulator. Or, make up a story about insulators used in Galaxy X, and create your own extreme insulator designs.

Everyone's a Winner!

While only four people will win the McMicking threadless insulators, everyone who enters the contest will receive some insulator for their efforts.
