Andrew Larson found the suspension bell in the Leavenworth, WA area according
to his Mom. Surrounding it are insulators donated to Andrew through the
"Insulators for Kids" program.
Insulator Dreams
Collectors from around the county have donated insulators to children under
the age of 18 who are beginning collectors. The program is coordinated
through Crown Jewels. We ask only that the kids, or their parents, pay for the
shipping. The insulators are free.
If you are under the age of 18 and would like some insulators, or if you are
an adult and you know of a youngster who'd like some insulators, please let us
know here at Crown Jewels.
Kid's Letters
Dear Mr. Banks,
Thank you for the nice emerald green CD 164 McLaughlin-20. It makes a nice
addition to my collection, and really stands out against all the other plain
aqua insulators. That insulator glows when the sun hits it just right. I was
really excited when I came home from school and there was a package waiting for
me on the table. Thank you. Also thank you for making this magazine so wonderful
and exciting. I look forward to it every month. Sincerely, Brian Orr. (age 13)
Dear Mr. Banks,
Thank you for sending me the 4 insulators that you did. I really enjoyed the
CD 121, 122, 112 & 296. I was also very surprised to see a purple 121. I
thought at first the 7up green 122 was stained because it was so beautiful. But
my Dad put it in acid and proved it was real. All in all I was extremely pleased
with each insulator. Sincerely, Matthew Smith.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Banks,
I received my Crown Jewels on June 2 (June issue)
and quickly paged to "Kids Corner." I was pleasantly surprised to find
that my (essay) entry had won a "Crown Jewels" subscription. Thank you
so much for choosing me. Sincerely, Stephen Davidson (age 13)
